Guild Retreat Sign Ups

Sew Day - #VBStrongQuilts

We are going to be putting together quilt tops for our guild's #VBStrong quilt project.  Our original goal of 16 quilts has been met.  We will be putting together the remaining blocks donated by many generous Instagram friends and other MQGs, basting quilts, and maybe even quilting.  Bring any tops/blocks you took home last month. If you have backing or binding fabric you can donate please bring that as well.

We are going to be working on the Plus Blocks and putting together quilt tops for our guild #VBStrong quilt project.  Bring you blue and low volume fabrics and lots of energy to get this project going quickly.  Details are in the VBStrong Quilt tab.

Bring up to 3 of your favorite sewing tools. We’ll all talk about what the tools do, how we use them, and why they are our favorites. 

Whitehurst-Buffington House

We will be having an exhibit of some of our modern quilts upstairs at Whitehurst-Buffington House on Saturday March 23. If you would like to have some of your work displayed please bring it to the meeting on March 16. Please make sure your pieces are labeled with your name. We could use volunteers for the exhibit which will be from 1:00 until 4:00. If you are not planning to volunteer, it would be useful if you could write a short description of how you came to make your piece(s).

Please print the pattern on your choice of foundation (Peggy recommends Ricky Tim’s Stable Stuff) and bring your chosen fabric and basic sewing supplies.
